Day 1 - Shuttle service from Albuquerque Airport delivers you to La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe. The “grand dame” of
Santa Fe hotels, is a treasure of art and hospitality superbly located at the plaza and near everything.
Day 2 - The best way to meet a new city is with a walking tour. Admission to the Loretto Chapel and Miraculous Stairway are highlights of our tour. This afternoon a good option is to take a short taxi ride to Tesuque Pueblo Flea Market, full of old and new treasures. Tonight choose a fun restaurant for local specialties.
Day 3 - Today is our cooking class. Oh, yummy. Use the rest of the day to wander up Canyon Road and feed your eyes with all the hub of the art scene can offer. A stop at El Farol for some tapas is a good way to end the day.
Day 4 - Ah, a free day to follow your own interests. There is so much to choose from- Georgia O’Keefe Museum, Museum of International Folk-art, Palace of the Governors with its artisans, New Mexico Museum of Art, Railyard area and so much more.
Day 5 - We board our private coach for Taos. First stop is Chimayo, the tiny pilgrimage town with its legendary shrine and notable weaving families. The adobe church in Taos is the attention grabber you recognize from Ansel Adams’ photos and Georgia O’Keeffe’s paintings. Lunch is included before we visit Taos Pueblo. Tonight is spent in Taos to allow some time for the many galleries and shops.
Day 6 - Your shuttle returns you to Albuquerque for your late afternoon flight home.
