The citizens of Oberammergau made a promise to God when they were spared from the bubonic plague almost 400 years ago. As a result, every ten years, over 2000 local actors, musicians and technicians mount a depiction of the Passion of Christ. Pilgrims from the world, flock to see the spectacle. You can be one of them.

Oberammergau couples with romantic Vienna and Salzburg, and the multifaceted Munich. Colorful characters such as Mozart, Beethoven, Hitler and Maria VonTrapp waltz through the beautiful scenery.

ITINERARY - Download Itinerary

Day 1-2 - Departure from US and arrival Vienna
Day 3 - A comprehensive city tour, including Schoenbrunn Palace
Day 4 - The day is free to explore the city where waltz is king. A late afternoon trip to the small town of Grinzing provides dinner and a sample of the unique ‘new wine’.
Day 5 - First class train to Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace. Tonight we dine in candlelight while being serenaded by his music.
Day 6 - This morning scenes from the Sound of Music are the focus.
Day 7 - Big adventure as our specially-equipped bus takes us to Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest.
Day 8 - Coach to Oberammergau, performance with lunch and dinner
Day 9 - Off toward Munich this morning with a stop at Mad Ludwig’s Castle and the underground Salt Mines. A city tour of Munich finishes the day.
Day 10 - Free day to meander Munich. Don’t miss the old glockenspiel
Day 11 - Departure for home.
