New York City is full of activity, history, culture, and fabulous foods. We will take a bite of each.
From a traditional family-owned Italian dinner to a French inspired brasserie lunch, and from a lunch set in a sculpture court at the Metropolitan Museum to one in a Tavern on the Green, we will eat our way from SoHo to Central Park, with plenty in between.
Visits to the Met and Radio City give a taste of culture. History is served at the Tenement Museum. A carriage ride and walking tour of holiday windows provide helpings of activity.
There is free time to fill with shopping, a Broadway show, more museums, and eclectic food experiences in this vibrant city.
The Big Apple becomes a bustling winter wonderland with lights, store windows, hotel decorations, Christmas trees, and holiday markets scattered around the city. This is the city wearing its party face at the hap-happiest time of the year!
Kick off your holidays like a Rockette and stay longer if you want dessert.

ITINERARY
29 November - Friday
Arrive at one of three airports in the Big Apple and make your way to the Warwick Hotel. This location is perfect for our busy itinerary. It offers free internet, a gym, laundry facilities, and two restaurants. Tonight, we celebrate our time together, at a nice “old school” Italian restaurant, Patsy’s. D

30 November - Saturday
We start the day at Sarabeth’s for breakfast. It’s a local favorite with wonderful popovers. Across the street we board our carriages for the quintessential carriage ride through Central Park. After a browse around the park’s Christmas market, we step out for our walking tour of the holiday windows and the city. There is time to see a play this evening if you wish. B

1 December - Sunday
The Metropolitan Museum is our first stop today. A guided tour will introduce the collection and we end at the large blue spruce Christmas tree nestling the beloved Baroque Neapolitan Crèche. Lunch at the Met is a treat, in any season so that is what we shall savor. You may stay and peruse the museum’s many treasures, move on to find your own NYC favorites, or grab some Broadway show tickets. L

2 December - Monday
An early lunch at Tavern on the Green is the prelude to our visit to the Radio City Rockettes Show. You will smile from beginning to end. The afternoon is free to indulge your interests. Suggestions include the 911 Memorial and Museum, shopping, seeing the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, or having a tea at the Russian Tea Room, right near our hotel. Broadway is dark on Mondays, so be back in time for a special dinner tonight. L,D

3 December - Tuesday
This morning we leave our neighborhood for a different period of time. The Tenement Museum gives a glimpse into the life unknown to us. Lunch is with a French twist at Balthazar, not far from the museum. You may enjoy the balance of the day exploring the city. Marcia must leave you tonight to meet her next group, but continues with more food and fun. L

4 December - Wednesday
